Attendance Officer

GRADE H5 (9) TO H6 (19)

Salary £20,300 to £24,300 per annum (including fringe allowance)

Salary dependent upon experience 

37 hours per week (term time only plus 5 days)

Required Autumn Term 2023 (ASAP)

We are looking for an Attendance Officer who would like to join our dynamic and successful school and form part of a friendly and hard-working team.

Personal attributes

The successful candidate will:

  • Either have previous experience as an Attendance Officer or similar demanding administrative role.
  • Possess strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise their work load, meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
    Have a good level of administrative and computer skills, including MS Office (Excel and Word).
  • Be highly numerate and literate, have strong attention to detail and accuracy with a good level of education.
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, clearly and accurately, both orally and in writing, with a wide range of people, eg students, teachers, parents/carers, colleagues across the local authority.
  • Embrace new technologies and ideas that enhance and improve administrative tasks.
  • Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible in their approach with a pro-active approach to problem solving.
  • Be a positive team player, willing to pitch in and help out where needed and believe in the importance of team work and a collaborative approach.
  • Be committed to the principles and practice of inclusion and equal opportunities for all.
  • Be committed to the principles and practice of safeguarding all young people.
