Overview

Loreto St Albans is an 11-18 girls’ academy recognised by OFSTED as outstanding in all areas. With the support of our enthusiastic and accomplished staff our students achieve excellent results, and the Progress 8 performance measure has regularly placed Loreto in the top 4% of schools in the country.  The school is oversubscribed and has earned an excellent reputation for discipline, pastoral care and academic standards.

We are looking to appoint a committed, innovative and enthusiastic Lead Practitioner of Computer Science, who is forward thinking and able to effectively lead, inspire and motivate both staff and students.  This is an exciting time to join the school. We are investing in new technologies and broadening the curriculum offer to deliver the Digital T Level in September 2025. The successful candidate will be given a lot of support from external partners to plan the T Level curriculum as well as time to do this. The course involves working with partners in industry and offers many opportunities for CPD.

The successful candidate will have experience teaching across the whole ability range and across KS3, KS4 and KS5; they will have up to date knowledge of the latest technologies and programming. We are looking for someone who will fully support the ethos of the school and who is passionate about Computer Science so that they can enthuse pupils and strengthen recruitment to the subject.
