Head of Computer Science

MPS/UPS (plus London Fringe Allowance)

with TLR2C

Required for September 2024 or earlier

Overview

Loreto St Albans is an 11-18 girls’ academy recognised by OFSTED as outstanding in all areas. With the support of our enthusiastic and accomplished staff our students achieve excellent results, and the Progress 8 performance measure has regularly placed Loreto in the top 4% of schools in the country.  The school is oversubscribed and has earned an excellent reputation for discipline, pastoral care and academic standards.

We are looking to appoint a committed, innovative and enthusiastic Head of Computing, who is forward thinking and able to effectively lead, inspire and motivate both staff and students.  The ability to teach across the whole ability range, KS3, KS4 and KS5, is desirable.  The successful candidate will build on the success the department already enjoys, will contribute to the wider life of the school and fully support the school’s ethos. We are planning to deliver T Level Digital at KS5 from September 2025 so this is an exciting time for the successful candidate as there will be a lot of support for them to plan and get ready to deliver the curriculum.

Visitors often say they are struck by the calm atmosphere and warmth and kindness of our students and staff. To help you make your decision on whether or not to apply, we can facilitate visits to the school to meet the Headteacher.
