Sept 10th / Congratulations to all Year 7 pupils who took part in the Mob Race on Tuesday 9th September.

This is the first inter-schools competition of the new academic year and involves all schools within the local area. Over 170 girls took part in the Mob Race (26 from Loreto), which is fantastic for girls sport.

Overall the Loreto came 3rd in the district (out of 12 schools) and special mention goes to Lauren Stott, who finished 4th overall in the competition and was our fastest finisher.  All results will be displayed on the cross country notice board in the gym.

We’d really like to see even more pupils taking part in the upcoming cross country competitions. Training is on Monday lunchtimes and fixtures are on Thursdays after school, starting next Thursday 18th September with a race at Townsend School.

Well done to the following girls for taking part yesterday:

Carla Dowling, Isabel Hayes, Abigail Rock, Christie O’Shea, Isabelle Sambrook, Lauren Gaffney, Orla Hayes, Lauren Stott, Jennifer Wall, Layla Brunt, Niamh Cahill, Anne-Marie Griffiths, Jessica Pike, Nadia Potter, Erin Russell, Aliya Darbandi, Hannah Mullins, Alice Patel, Sophie Stockwell, Francesca Franchi, Cecile Guegan, Daniela Monastero, Annie O’Byrn, Nyanja Tonga, Eve Treacy and Alice Cassidy.
