July 10th / It was an absolute pleasure to welcome into school today the Year 6 pupils who will be joining Loreto College in September.  They met their form tutors and have started to make some new friends among their fellow pupils.  They were shown around by Sixth Form students (who were really welcoming – well done to them!), and they found out what it is like to study PE and Science at Loreto.  They visited the Library and met our librarian, who gave each pupil her own copy of “The Child’s Elephant” by Rachel Campbell-Johnston and set them a Summer Reading Challenge: to read the whole book and write a review of it before Year 7 starts. They also practised performing as a choir, and at the end of the day everyone sang beautifully in the Chapel.  Anyone who spent time with the new girls thought that they were lovely!  We look forward to seeing them again in the Autumn.
