14th Sept 2016 – Yesterday our cross country fixtures got under way with the annual Year 7 Mob Race at Sandringham school.  All schools across the St Albans and Harpenden district took part, with over 200 girls in total!  As well as competing for personal satisfaction, the pupils are also running for their schools.  Scoring is based on the fastest 6 finishers from each school.  Loreto entered 18 pupils and, despite the heat, we had some excellent placing’s within the race. Our top 6 finishers managed to score a total of 112, coming 2nd overall in the district, which is fantastic!  Well done to all the girls involved for setting such a high standard, and thank you to the staff and parents who supported them yesterday evening.

The top six finishers for Loreto were:

  • Niamh Kelly – 6th
  • Jessica Burke – 11th
  • Ekua Youri – 13th
  • Katie Beirne – 20th
  • Luisa Bruno-Zanier – 28th
  • Milly Hayes – 34th
