6th June 2017 – Tomorrow we will be encouraging our students to casts their votes in our own version of the General Election. Their tutors will show them a short video which will tell them, or remind them, about the General Election process. They will also be given an opportunity to review the main manifesto points from the various parties. And then they will cast their votes.
The last time we shadowed a national election was during the referendum on membership of the European Union. Loreto students voted overwhelmingly to remain, which reflected the national picture for their age group but obviously did not reflect the final outcome. How will they cast their votes tomorrow, and how well will this mirror the national picture? We’ll let you know …
