We are super excited to welcome back renowned mystery and adventure novelist, Helen Moss! She will be talking to Years 7 & 8 on Thursday 21st October. Signed copies of Helen’s books will be available to purchase on the day.
Helen’s visit is part of Reading Week (18-22 Oct) when students will be set the challenge of reading as much as they can during the week itself and over October half term. All money raised will go to Readathon, which is a worthwhile charity that buys new books for children in hospital.  Over the years, Loreto has raised thousands of pounds, and because of this, Readathon is kindly sending Wilf, storyteller extraordinaire, to talk to all Year 9 students in an assembly, followed by a story creation workshop for representatives from each Year 9 form groups.
Click HERE to meet Wilf and watch a short clip illustrating the impact Readathon fundraising has on young people receiving treatment in hospital.
We cannot wait to report back after the event.
