Sept 22nd / Throughout the coming academic year the Science Department will be running a Science Surgery for all students in Year 10 & 11.
Each lunchtime from Monday to Thursday there will be “drop in” mentoring sessions taking place in Science lab 2. Year 10 and 11 students will be able to work with our A level scientists, who will help them with any topics from their GCSE Science course which they are finding challenging.
The programme aims to use knowledgeable role-models to improve the students’ achievement and also their general confidence within Science. These surgeries will provide a powerful package of mentoring support that can be tailored to individual student needs. There will also be staff members available to manage and support the whole learning process so that our students achieve the very best they can.
