DofE 2014

Sept 24th / Congratulations to the following Year 13 Duke of Edinburgh participants, who recently undertook an assessment for the expedition section of their award.  Four groups completed this at bronze level, and a fifth at silver level.  They all trained hard in order to complete a two-day hike in the Lee Valley, carrying all their own kit and camping overnight.  During their hikes they investigated various aspects of the local area, such as plant variation according to habitat or different aspects of human impact on the area.  They later presented their findings at school.  All of this took place under the beady eyes of the Award assessors, who were pleased to declare the assessments a success.

Well done to Noor Aziz, Niamh Bell, Liam Birch-Palmer, Amelia Brackley, Natalie Case, Ciara Condon, Tasmin Day, Caragh Dougan, Jessica Eley, Sarah Fry, Georgia Gray, Molly Hunter, Carys Jones, Elizabeth King, Casey Lenaghan, Annabel Mateo, Amy McGoohan, Niamh Mullahy, Emily North, Sophie O’Sullivan, Sian O’Sullivan, Devon Prior, Luke Redford, Julia Rowatt, Eleanor Vertigan, Nicole Walker, Juliet Guest and Toke Joseph.
