3rd March 2017 – Our Careers week got underway today, with two separate events designed to help students give further thought to their futures.

At lunchtime we were visited by the Oaklands Apprenticeship Bus, which gave our students a chance to find out more about post-16 vocational courses.

We are also very grateful to Mrs Dempsey, headteacher of St Alban and St Stephen primary school, who came in to speak with our students about a possible career in teaching.  Her talk was very engaging and highly illuminating.

Further talks still to come this week in the Mary Ward Studio from 1.30-2.00 pm:

Tuesday – Ravneet Bermi founder of Puddleducks swim school

Wednesday  Dr Shenkar, cancer researcher and founder of HeartsMilkBank for sick babies

Thursday – Nina Sebastiane, founder of FeelGoodYoga

Friday – Julie Grimes of Jaguar White Recruitment
