Nov 4th / We are delighted to report a fantastic outcome to a charity drive recently organised by our Sixth Form students.  On Thurs 22nd October, all Loreto pupils were invited to take part in ‘Wear it Pink Day’.  This is the Breast Cancer Campaign’s annual fundraising event.

At lunchtime many pupils and a few brave teachers all took part in a sponsored Fun Run, with each form nominating three of its members to run the Loreto Mile.  Wristbands and badges were also on sale at the event.

In addition to this, many students took advantage of the opportunity to wear their own clothes for the day – provided this included something pink!  The charity suggested a minimum donation of £2 in return for this.  The Sixth Form students worked hard to promote the event, and to ensure that the younger pupils remembered to contribute.

In total, the event raised £1,898.50, all of which will be used to help combat cancer.  Well done to everyone involve, especially our Sixth Formers, who did a really super job.
