National Award for Loreto

Feb 8th / For the second year in a row Loreto College has received a Pupil Premium Award.

Last week we were delighted to receive a letter from Westminster congratulating us on our work with disadvantaged pupils, and announcing that we had won this award.  “The reason you have been selected”, said the letter, “is that you are one of the most improved schools in the country in terms of attainment and value-added progress of your disadvantaged pupils since 2012.  Also, an above average percentage of your disadvantaged pupils achieved the EBacc in 2015.”

The letter, from Sam Gyimah MP to Mrs Lynch, goes on to say: “It is clear that you and your staff have provided disadvantaged pupils with a good start in life … I would like to congratulate your governors, parents and pupils for their hard work and success.”
